Hello friends!

 

This week we’re going to be talking with Renuka Kulkarni because Patrick and Todd are speaking at a conference in Denver. So we’ll leave economic news for another week and learn more about our newest team member!

 

Renuka is joining us as a client success partner at Obsidian. Because our clients’ satisfaction is our benchmark for success, we want to become more regular with our check-ins and be sure we are always meeting or exceeding your expectations.

 

We value your feedback, and delivering client experience is important to us. We don’t want you to ever think of using another firm for services we could provide for you, so we want to learn what’s going well and how we can help your client experience and ensure that you’re a raving fan of Obsidian. That’s where Renuka comes in: she’ll call to check-in, chat, and see how you’re doing, as well as gather some feedback. You can look forward to hearing from her the week after your annual review is complete to make sure your questions were answered and get any additional feedback from you.

 

Renuka comes to Obsidian from a background in on and offline marketing for various financial institutions in the Frederick area. She is excited to represent the needs of our clients: “My priority is to ensure excellent communication, provide a warm welcome and smooth transition to new clients, as well as working with existing clients through regular check-ins to let them know we do value their feedback,” she said. “Meeting and exceeding their goals is our priority, along with educating them on all the value-added services we offer. My long-term goal is to develop beneficial long-term relationships with our clients.”

 

Outside of work, Renuka most values time with her family and friends. She has three sons: Arun (26), Jay (23), Deven (16), and a furbaby Goldendoodle named Oliver. She loves to take him along on her outdoor adventures, like hiking. She also loves to read fiction to get lost in a good story and relax.

 

Renuka shares Patrick’s love of international travel. She’s traveled to India many times over the years with her family. Her parents immigrated to India and she and her three siblings were born in Virginia and raised in Pennsylvania. Because culture is important to her, she loves visiting India with her sons and her siblings when she can to stay connected to her family’s traditions. “It’s important to me that my children value their roots, who they are, and where they come from,” she said.

 

She has lived in Frederick for over 13 years now. “I just love it here,” she says. “My kids went to school here and had a great experience. And downtown is so charming. I love all the boutiques and restaurants. It’s such a lovely, diverse area.”
